Join Lidia’s Kansas City as we continue our 20th anniversary Wine Dinner Series with an exclusive Mondavi Wine Dinner on Thursday, May 3, hosted by special guest, Dante Mondavi. The five-course dinner includes fresh pasta, wild game, fresh spring produce and dessert. Prepared by Executive Chef Dan Swinney and Chef de Cuisine Daniel Nutty, the food is thoughtfully paired with wines from Mondavi’s exclusive Continuum collection. Continuum is a single wine, produced with clarity of focus at the highest quality level. A unique wine, it’s a blend of Cabernet family varieties grown on a hillside vineyard above the Napa Valley.
Dante Mondavi, born and raised in Napa Valley, learned about wine from early on following in his father, grandfather and sibling’s footsteps. From sorting fruit at Robert Mondavi Winery to rolling barrels at Opus One, he has learned on the job. Dante joined the Continuum team to assist his father in the winery for the first vintages and served as cellar master for six years. In 2013, Dante and his brother Carlo founded their own winery, RAEN, to produce Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast.
